Imagine wandering through Earth’s oldest, giant trees at dusk with the love of your life. This session is so so special, not because of the location (as grand as it is I mean come on!), but because of the people in them. Sarah + Micah were in mine and my husband's college life group in Virginia almost 4 years ago, and around the same time, God walked them through a journey that He saw fit for Sarah and Micah. They got engaged, Micah went away to the Marines, and then got diagnosed with Leukemia. They eloped after his diagnosis, almost 4 years ago and finally got to have their dream wedding a few weeks ago after years of waiting! After years of Chemo, hospital visits, and trusting in the Lord to provide for them exactly what they needed, Micah is in remission with 3 new joints and is doing amazing! Sarah and Micah’s story is a true testament of how good God is even in the midst of tragedy and uncertainty. It brings tears to my eyes.
I was ecstatic to even share a small part of their story as they walk through healing and get to celebrate all God has done in their lives in the last four years. One of their goals is to visit national parks together, now that Micah is healed and doing better, and it was an honor to bring them to their first national park since Micah’s chemo. Sarah + Micah you two are so strong willed, filled with the love of the Holy Spirit and I am SO so thankful for you both. What a testimony. What an amazing God we serve.
(Also I had major altitude sickness during this session and I didn't even know it. Gotta love the struggles traveling comes with, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. The good memories far exceed the bad ones.)
